Dream

I was driving along in my car and was being chased for some unknown reason. I had another car with me that was also being chased. I thought, for some reason, I could take a very large curb at high speed but found out in a bad way that I could not. My car went flying up into the air and was doing a flip. I thought it might work out that my car landed back on its wheels. Alas, it did not. I remember it coming down and landing badly. So, I was a bit sad.

Story

As I sped down the deserted highway, the scorching sun beating down on my car, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being watched. Suddenly, my rearview mirror reflected a pair of headlights closing in fast. My heart racing, I floored it, feeling the rush of adrenaline as my car surged forward. But I wasn't alone - a second car, a sleek black sedan, was right beside me, its driver's face set in a determined grimace. We were both being chased, but by whom, and why, I had no idea.

The road unwound before us, a serpentine stretch of asphalt that seemed to beckon us to push our limits. I glanced over at the sedan, its tires screeching as it took a sharp turn. I followed suit, my car hugging the curve as we devoured the distance. The chase was on, and we were flying.

As we approached a particularly nasty curve, I spotted a massive curb looming ahead. It was a behemoth of a thing, a concrete monolith that seemed to dare me to try and clear it. For some reason, I thought I could take it at high speed, that my car would somehow magically defy gravity and emerge unscathed on the other side. The sedan, sensing my intentions, pulled up alongside me, its driver's eyes locked on mine in a fleeting moment of understanding.

I gunned the engine, feeling the car surge forward as we hurtled towards the curb. Time seemed to slow as we launched into the air, my stomach dropping as the car began to flip. I was weightless, suspended in a moment of pure terror as the world around me became a blur. The sedan, I noticed, had taken a more cautious approach, swerving around the curb with a precision that made my own attempt seem reckless.

My car, meanwhile, was not cooperating. It twisted and turned, its metal creaking in protest as it rotated through the air. I thought, in a desperate bid to salvage the situation, that maybe - just maybe - we'd land back on our wheels, that the car would somehow right itself and we'd emerge from this ordeal unscathed. But it was not to be.

The impact was brutal, the car crashing down onto its side with a sickening crunch. I felt a jolt of pain as the airbag deployed, the sound of shattering glass and twisting metal filling my ears. As the dust
